Big Energy Deals between China and Russia Established

导读:昨日，中国国家主席习近平和俄罗斯总统普京，在北京召开的亚太经合组织年度首脑会议期间签署了能源合作协议，协议包括建立西线输送管道。

President Xi Jinping held a meeting with Russia president Vladimir Putin yesterday in Beijing Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, with big energy cooperation agreement reached, including the construction of the second main gas pipeline. The Russian natural gas would be transported to China through this west pipeline. This agreement came after the signing of the east pipeline agreement worth 400 billion dollars earlier in May.

据悉，中国国家主席习近平于昨日在北京钓鱼台国宾馆会见俄罗斯总统普京，双方签署了能源合作协议，协议包括第二条主要输送管道。俄罗斯的天然气将通过这条西线管道输送到中国。早在今年5月，两国还签署了价值4000亿美元的东线运输管道协议。

Reported from Russian media, chief of Russia Natural Gas Industry Company, Miller commented on this agreement that the west line would become the priority project within the natural gas cooperation of two countries.

据俄媒报道，俄罗斯天然气工业公司总裁米勒表示，根据俄罗斯与中国签署的文件，西线对华供气协议将成为两国天然气合作领域的优先项目。

Miller said that, “Firstly the agreement states the west line of gas transporting would become the priority project among our natural gas cooperation.” The agreement also set the basic conditions of gas supply of 30 billion cubic meters to China in the coming 30 years.

米勒说：“这些文件中首先规定，西线供气将成为我们天然气合作的优先项目”。文件中确定30年期间总共对华供气300亿立方米的基本条件。

“In its mid-term prospect, there’s also a new line, under negotiation with China now, which is transporting natural gas from far-east regions.” Miller said, “Based on the extension of west line, natural gas supply to China is expected to go over the one to Europe in its mid-term.”

“中期远景，还有一条新的路线，目前在与中国进行谈判，这是从远东地区管道运输天然气”米勒表示，“鉴于西线扩大供气，中期远景对华供气量可能超过对欧供气”。

Xi said, “Now autumn has set in. It’s harvest time. It’s time to gather fruit,” Xi also said the two countries should give priority to bilateral ties no matter “how the international clouds change”.

“秋天来临，收获的季节也到了”习近平于协议签署后表示。习近平同时表示无论“国际风云如何变幻”，中俄两国均应优先发展双边关系。

Putin said that Russian-Chinese cooperation was “very important for keeping the world within the framework of international law, to make it more stable, more predictable”.

普京表示中俄合作对于“国际法治和稳定”都有十分重要的意义。

Tensions have been going on between China, Russia and western countries due certain issues, and the reaching of this expected agreement draws a closer relation between two countries.

俄中两国目前因各种议题与西方的关系紧张，此协议的达成，使得俄中两国关系进一步拉近，对于双方来说越来越显得重要。
